Torosay Castle and Gardens Isle of Mull – Torosay Castle is located on the majestic Isle of Mull, and was completed in 1858 by Scottish born architect David Bryce in the Scottish baronial style. The castle is surrounded by twelve acres of beautiful gardens, see the terraces, statue walk and woodland.
The main rooms of the castle are open to the public containing a collection of interesting items and china acquired over many years, these include pictures of Winston Churchill who frequently visited the castle during his younger years.
The castle grounds include magnificent Italian statues, sculpted fountains, water garden, Japanese garden, rockery, stone lions, a folly and square towers along the edges of the terrace where you can find a fine display of the Isle of Mull's geological history.

Iona Abbey

A 13th century abbey is regarded by many people as the birthplace of Christianity in Scotland. It was founded by St Columba and his Irish followers in AD563. It was from Iona Abbey that St Columba spread the word across Scotland. See the Isle of Iona’s historical and religious attractions which include St Columba’s shrine, the abbey church and cloisters and a wonderful collection of medieval carved stones and crosses.
